Selected for Art in the Eastside, Belfast Festival 2013

My artwork "Eileen" - (Familiar Faces project)  has been selected for this years Art in the Eastside festival in Belfast. I am delighted to be able to take part in this wonderful project and in such a historic location such as Belfast. Take a look below to see how my billboard looks.

If you would like to visit it then here is the address: Middlepath street, Newtownards road, East Belfast, Belfast.

ART IN THE EASTSIDE Billboard Project will deliver a unique exhibition on 50 billboards and ad poster sites. Each billboard will have an original artwork on it, created by a range of artists who will be commissioned through the local resident studio artists; invited renowned artists; an open international competition and will include artworks created by local schools and community groups.

Collectively, it will create an outdoor gallery of positive and thought-provoking images.
The artworks will be experienced in the heart of East Belfast in high-profile locations and arterial routes.  By exhibiting on billboards, and curating in the public realm, we not only bring art to the those commuting in-and-out of the city and the cultural tourist, we will bring art directly to the people and create a ‘live’ experience of visual-art for resident’s on their own doorstep.

The artists in this project will be asked to showcase works which will animate the nominated spaces and present exciting and innovative artworks to the public.
